TIME FOR STOCK TAKEN

As an accountant and an entrepreneur, I strongly believe in taking stock from time to time periodically and deliberately. In business, stock-taking helps us understand what we have, what we have lost, what must be reordered, and what is no longer useful. it is a discipline that keeps an organization healthy, accountable, and sustainable.

However, I have come to realize that beyond physical inventory and financial statements, self-assessment is far more important than any other form of stock taken.

what do I mean by this? As the year 2025  comes to an end in just a few days, it is time to pause-and – not only to count profits, achievements, and milestones, but to reflect deeply on our lives. as you count and name your blessings one by one, remember where you came from and how you started. Remember the struggles, the helpers along the way, the silent prayers, and the lessons learned through hardship.

This is also a time to remember those at home. Attend your village meetings if you can visits your community hospital quietly, without announcements or publicity. Let your generosity speak in silence. If possible, allow a large portion of your Christmas gifts to reach poor families within your community. True wealth is not measured by what we give.

Stock taken also requires emotional and spiritual auditing. Forgive those who have offended you in one way or another. release bitterness, grudges, and danger. Just as obsolete stock is written off in accounting, unresolved resentment must be written off in life. holding onto it only depreciates our inner value.

In summary, a time for forgiveness is a time for stock taken. When we assess ourselves honestly, show compassion to others, reconnect without roots, and extend love to the less privileged, we close he year not just financially balanced-but morally, emotionally, and spiritually enriched.

As we prepare for a new year, ma our accounts be clean, out hearts be light, and our lives reflect gratitude, humility, and kindness.

Yet a question continues to border me, As the year 2025 comes to an end, whether as a businessman or trader, a community leader, a community leader, a politician, or a religious leader-what account will i render to those who trusted me. those who contributed to my success today? Knowing fully well that i will certainly need them around me in 2026 and beyond.

We are merely pencils in the hand of God, and each day we write reports in the hearts of people-knowingly or unknowingly.

This, therefore, is the season to put things together with our people, in UNITY.
