A CRY FROM THE MASSES (THE ELECTORATE) TO ALL OPPOSITION PARTY LEADERS

We, the electorate, appeal to you to put the interests of Nigeria above individual ambitions and political differences.

We do not want our votes to be divided in the 2027 general elections. A fragmented opposition could reduce its chances of success, while a united opposition could present a stronger alternative to the ruling party.

We understand that political parties have different ideologies and priorities. However, at critical moments in a nation’s history, leadership calls for maturity, dialogue, compromise, and a willingness to work together for the common good.

Many young Nigerians and other citizens are concerned about the country’s future. They hope opposition leaders will engage one another constructively and consider areas of cooperation where possible. If the shared objective is to offer Nigerians a credible alternative, then unity and coordination deserve serious consideration.

The more united the opposition becomes, the greater its potential to compete effectively in the 2027 elections. Going into the election divided may benefit political opponents and disappoint many citizens who are looking for change.

We therefore encourage all opposition leaders to explore practical ways of reaching common ground through peaceful negotiations and mutual respect. Where alliances or coalitions are possible, they should be pursued in the interest of the nation.

As a personal suggestion, I believe that two or three opposition parties could consider aligning with the NDC Party and supporting the “OK” movement for the 2027 election. Ultimately, however, any political alliance should be based on voluntary agreement, shared principles, and the collective interest of the Nigerian people.

History will remember the choices made today. Let wisdom, unity, and patriotism guide those decisions.

Nigeria deserves leadership that puts the people first.
