Gov. Alex Otti Applauds Civil Service Commissions at 44th National Council and Annual Conference

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has applauded the Federal and State Civil Service Commissions for successfully convening the 44th National Council and Annual Conference of Civil Service Commissions, hosted in Abia State.

In his remarks, Governor Otti commended the commissions for their dedication to strengthening public service administration across the country. He urged participants to work hard toward actualizing the theme of this year’s conference: “Repositioning Civil Service Commission in Nigeria as the Hub of Professionalism in Public Service Human Resource Management.”

The Governor emphasized that repositioning the civil service remains critical to building a modern, efficient, and merit-driven public sector capable of delivering quality governance. He encouraged delegates to adopt innovative practices that would transform human resource management in their various states.

Speaking on behalf of the Hon. Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, Prof. Tunji Olaopa, the Abia State Civil Service Commission Chairperson, Dr. Eno Jerry Eze (PhD), expressed profound appreciation to Governor Otti for hosting this year’s national gathering. She described the Governor’s support as a testament to his commitment to civil service reform and professional excellence.

Dr. Eze also extended gratitude to all participants from across the federation. She urged them to return to their states and resolve to reposition their respective civil service commissions for improved professionalism, accountability, and efficient service delivery.
